LONDON-BASED FIGURATIVE SCULPTOR
Figures, portraits and public monuments.
Poppy Field creates bronze figurative sculpture ranging from portraits and public monuments to original studio works. Combining classical training with a painterly handling of clay, her sculptures move beyond likeness to explore presence, memory, and the imaginative life of the human form.

ABOUT
Poppy read History of Art at The Courtauld before training in sculpture at The Florence Academy of Art. Her bronze monuments of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are installed on the South Porch façade of the Royal Albert Hall in London.
“Stories and bodies have always seemed intertwined to me. When sculpting, I try to move beyond likeness through an iconography of moments: capturing an intangible quality someone might call an essence, presence, or soul.”
